1st July 2004 - Mallory Park
Another track outing to Mallory Park. This time it was for Club Hodgson rather than the Motorcycle Folly. This has become a semi regular occasion for the Neil Hodgson Fan Club. Due to short notice Neil wasn't able to attend due to testing commitments with Ducati but Steve Plater was there and Craig Jones put on another excellent stunt show at lunch time.
As you can see from the photos it was a nice sunny day and despite not being able to bend my left leg enough to feel comfortable through the hairpin or the Devil's Elbow the rest of the circuit, particularly Gerrards, was as good as ever.
I instructed quite a few people and was able to keep up with almost all of the bigger bikes without too much problem. It was entertaining trying to explain how people should be riding and positioning their body when I was unable to do it myself!

And round the hairpin!

Back instructing for the first time in a while was Tim Jones. We used to instruct together all the time and it was the two of us who started the MiniTwins race series in the first place. I even let Tim out on the Raptor fro a session which he seemed to enjoy. I think I'm probably a little big for it but it didn't seem to bother Tim.
The suspension seemed to be working quite well. Much better than Tim's SV650 race bike which was bouncing all over the place round Gerrards which really unnerved me as I rode round the outside. I made sure I waved along the way just for good measure :-)
